Investor Portal & Dashboard: A Private Investor Hub for Dark Alpha Capital

At Dark Alpha Capital, we raise capital from high-net-worth individuals and family offices for our private equity deals. Keeping them informed, compliant, and engaged used to mean endless emails and manual follow-ups. So I built a combined marketing site and secure investor dashboard to make the whole process smoother.

The public side is a clean, content-heavy marketing website. It’s built with TanStack Start and powered by Prismic CMS. This lets us easily update text, images, and pages without touching code, while keeping the site fast and fully functional.

Once an investor likes what they see, they can log in. They land on a private dashboard that walks them through onboarding. They fill out their details and upload KYC documents through simple forms. On our admin side, we review everything — the submitted documents, investor information, and verification status. Once we approve them, the system automatically sends a confirmation email and grants access to the full investor dashboard.

Inside the dashboard, investors can:

• Browse current deals available for investment

• View and download the documents we share with them

• Submit their pledge — including how much they want to commit and their preferred check size

On the back end, we can review pledges, confirm investments, and manage everything in one place.

For the tech, I used the same foundation as Dealflow: TanStack Start as the full-stack framework, deployed on Cloudflare Workers for speed and reliability. Cloudflare Queues handle all the background emails — registration confirmations, approvals, rejections — so nothing gets lost. Public content is embedded with Cloudflare Vectorize for smarter search if needed. All sensitive documents are stored privately on our own Nextcloud instance running on a VPS, giving us full control and better data privacy.

The result is a single platform that works both as a marketing front door and a secure back office for our investors. It cuts down on back-and-forth emails, speeds up onboarding, and keeps everything transparent and professional.

This investor portal is now a key part of how Dark Alpha Capital builds and maintains strong relationships with our capital partners.
